Meadow Park Big Bear
Meadow Park is Big Bear Lake's main community park, a large open green space on the north shore of the lake with mountain views in every direction. It's the venue for many of the town's seasonal events, including the annual Oktoberfest, the Fourth of July celebration, and various summer concerts and festivals throughout the year.
Outside of event weekends, it's a relaxed spot for a picnic, a walk, or letting kids run around. The park has open lawn, picnic facilities, and easy lake access nearby. It's one of the better places in Big Bear to spend a slow afternoon without spending anything.
Events at Meadow Park
Big Bear's Oktoberfest has been held here since 1970 and is the highest-elevation Oktoberfest in the United States. It runs on weekends through September and October and draws large crowds. The Fourth of July fireworks show over the lake is another highlight, best viewed from the park or the surrounding shoreline.
