Peppercorn Grille

Peppercorn Grille is Big Bear's go-to for a proper dinner out. Open since 2003, it sits at 553 Pine Knot Ave in the village and serves California cuisine with a menu that runs from pasta and seafood to steaks and burgers. The wine list is long and well-chosen.

Mike and Julie Hastings opened the restaurant after returning from a fire evacuation to find their building abandoned by its previous tenant. They built something worth coming back to. Over 20 years later, it's still the highest-end dining option in Big Bear village.

The Menu

Dinner service runs Sunday through Thursday from 3pm to 9pm, and Friday and Saturday until 10pm. The kitchen handles everything from a well-seared steak to fresh fish, and the dessert menu is worth a look. Reservations are recommended on weekends.
